SPECS & CHASSIS
The Tundrasine is more than 26 feet long and its wheelbase stretches for more than 19 feet which makes it one of the largest cars presented this year at SEMA. In order to account for the extra length of the truck, Toyota installed no less than eight doors, four running boards and one massive interior.
The chassis has been strengthened in order to handle the extra length but this also added more than 2000 pounds of weight. However, while the weight and length increased, the engine remained the same as before so the 2016 Toyota Tundrasine concept features the same naturally aspirated 5.7 liter V8 as the base model. This offers 381 horsepower and over 400 lb-ft of torque which is enough for the usual model but it might not be enough for this massive truck. The transmission on the other hand is the same automatic as before but this time the drive-shaft has been elongated considerably in order to still offer the truck all wheel drive.
